The latest issue of Saratoga TODAY does not appear to reflect any information about the Milton Town Supervisor race. My 300-word appeal to voters (below) was submitted ahead of their 10/26 EOD deadline, per their request. It begs the question - why this race is not included in their October 30 - November 5, 2026 issue? I have reached out to the publisher for an explanation, but haven't heard back as of this posting.

"If you have attended or watched a Milton town board meeting, you may have seen me at the podium, asking questions and speaking up. After more than 25 years of calling Milton home, raising my family here, and serving my community in volunteer and paid capacities, I am running for Milton Town Supervisor. Local government should be about building community, neighbor to neighbor, transparent governance, and responsiveness to constituents, not party politics. Races often go uncontested in Milton, but last year the residents sent a message when my bid for a council seat fell short by just seven votes—we are ready for change!

My social services career spans direct service, program leadership, and community organizing, including more than ten years in executive management. I have served on state-level boards and committees representing family caregivers of children and adults with disabilities, bring deep experience in grant writing, budget development, and fiscal management, and regularly contribute to policy discussions that shape how services are delivered at the county, regional, and state levels. I am familiar with nonprofit accounting, have completed NYS Comptroller’s Office training to understand how municipal accounting differs, and pledge to earn my Certified Town Official credential.

My candidacy offers a shift towards balanced leadership, new perspectives, and checks and balances while maintaining fiscal responsibility. I will provide timely information, move board discussions from the backrooms and into the public, and serve as a dedicated advocate for Milton and its residents, including on the County Board of Supervisors. My commitment begins day one, and continues every day, not just when elections are on the line. I will always listen and seek to include as many as possible, because every voice matters here. Milton is full of capable, generous people. We deserve a town government that matches who we are."

- Michele Juda, Democratic and Common Ground Candidate for Milton Town Supervisor

If the Milton Town Supervisor race was left out of Saratoga TODAY because my opponent did not respond, that is a disservice to the very people he claims to serve. Voters deserve to hear from every candidate before they cast their ballot. His continued unwillingness to meaningfully participate in this race shows our community exactly who he is.
